Northeastern’s Obama Day coming to a close

Maggie CassidyHello, all — This is Editor-in-chief Maggie Cassidy. First, a big thanks to Web Editor Maraithe Thomas for holding down the beta blog today. She was one of more than a dozen staff members who worked hard to cover President Obama’s appearance at Northeastern during the Martha Coakley rally. You saw much of our work today, and you will continue to see news, feature and multimedia pieces throughout the week. Here’s a little something to tide you over — my unedited Flip-Cam footage of Obama’s speech during the rally.

Please forgive me if it’s a bit shaky — I looked like a bit of an octopus with my Flip-Cam, audio recorder, camera, and two cell phones for Tweeting (an iPhone AND a Blackberry, no less!).

Photo Editor Brennan Degan was also inside Cabot Gymnasium snapping away. Check out our Flickr page for his photos inside the rally, as well as several of our photographers’ photos from Huntington Avenue. Also, tweet your own photos at our Twitter account, @HuntNewsNU!

Finally, here’s some more photos from Flickr and one from my Blackberry. Thanks for following our beta blog, and once again, check back tomorrow for more stories and multimedia coverage.
